You will enjoy the amazing handicapped accessible wrap-around porch and vast yard that is shared space.  The studio suite is locked from the rest of the home and has private entrance, private bedroom with en-suite full bathroom, sitting room and bistro table and stools for playing games or paper work. The porch houses two swings, numerous rocking chairs, a small patio table and chairs all of which overlook a stunning view of the family’s 9 acre pond. Two free parking spaces are provided near Wildflower Retreat.  NO PETS OR ANIMALS ALLOWED of any kind!!

Guests will be able to contact us at any time during your stay. We want to make you as comfortable as possible while you are here at Wildflower Retreat, but will not interfere with your privacy. 

This Old House has been featured recently in Troy Life Magazine and over the years in Alabama Treasured Forest Magazine and other publications. The family is recipients of the esteemed Helene Moseley Conservation Award for outstanding forestry and wildlife management. They are also active in the Tree Farm program. 

The famous Old Barn Restaurant is within walking distance of this magnificent Retreat space. It has won best Alabama steak and best catfish awards. Opened Thursday-Sat evenings from 4 pm to 8 pm and for country veggies on SUN. FROM 11-2. Only minutes away is Downtown Troy that is home to Sips Beer Garden where you can enjoy an outdoor dining experience from The Pizza Box and other food trucks all while having a cold adult beverage; along with other dining such as  B. Graves., Francesca’s, and Mama Goldberg’s. The Square in Troy also offers a great shopping experience at Glow Boutique, Pink Parlor, Rustic Linen, Heritage,  and Hazels Gifts just to name a few. Troy University is only minutes from the Square. Don’t miss out on the exciting Trojan Events! Troy Recreation Department is a 15 minute drive from Wildflower Retreat. There you can enjoy a leisure walk around a paved trail, let kids play on playground or watch several games of soccer, baseball or softball depending on the season. Looking for a trip back in time, just go visit Pike Pioneer Museum. It is a 19 century farmstead comprised of old buildings, horse drawn jail, and steam train. Just a few minutes from the museum it Butter & Egg Adventures where you can enjoy zip lining and a variety of other outdoor adventures.  You won’t want to miss the opportunity to experience the best of both worlds…country serenity with city convenience in only a 13 minute drive. Please tell family, work associates  and friends about this very unique and versatile property. The home was built in 1912, however, it was miraculously and perfectly designed  for how we are using it as a modern-day Airbnb Lodge and Events Center. It has a wraparound and back porch with five private entrances and around 6200 sq ft of living space. Each of the five retreats in the home are totally private with no shared space except the porches and massive yards. Book as many or as few of the suites as meets your traveling needs.

Quiet Hours 9PM – 7:00 AM

-Do NOT USE Fireplace 

-No Cooking in room other than microwave.

-No smoking or vaping inside the retreat. Please clean up after yourself outside.

-Check out time is by 11:00am. 

-Check-in is at 3:00pm. or after. We do allow for a requested early check in for an additional charge if the property is clean and ready.

-Have parties or events by renting  This Old House Only , you should submit details and gain approval by messaging Michelle. There will be additional charges for parties and events.  If you need catering service, we suggest you consider our family who own The Old Barn Restaurant which is right up the hill from the retreat or Sips Beer Garden for catering.

-You must let us know the total number of guests who will be coming.  There is a $10 per person per night additional charge for guests after two.

-Fishing is permitted with an added $10 per person per day charge. Please message us with details of how many and when they desire to fish and we will send details. You will furnish fishing reels, bait, etc. 

-There is an outside light switch  located right inside the door.  Please do not leave lights on unless you are needing them to reenter. 

-NO PETS OR ANIMALS ALLOWED of any kind on the property!! 

-Parking spot is located directly beside the handicapped ramp and in front of basketball goal. 

-Please leave muddy or dirty shoes outside

-Supervise children closely and especially at the pond next to the garage and across the street. 

-Please do not allow children to run on the wraparound porch or inside the suite. The massive grounds provide ample space for running and other fun activities. We want everyone to have a great stay.

-If you break the house rules you can be asked to leave without a refund.

-Please take trash out to can on left side of the garage when you leave. 

-Turn out all lights when you exit.

-Leave thermostat set -Heat – 62; AC 75 

-Please notify Michelle when you depart through the app.

Short Term:

Full refund 5 days prior to arrival

Long Term:

Full refund if cancelled within 48 hours of booking and at least 28 days before check-in. After that, the first 30 days of the stay are non-refundable.
